2026 IAEM Scholarship Application

 

IAEM scholarships are awarded through a competitive process to students worldwide who are pursuing an associate or diploma, baccalaureate, or graduate degree in emergency management or a closely related field. The 2026 scholarship application period for full-time undergraduate and full- or part-time graduate students begins on March 31, 2026. All application materials must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. EDT, May 31, 2026.

2026 Special Awards

Robert C. Bohlmann, CEM, Scholarship for Service in Emergency Management

In 2017, a special undergraduate scholarship was named in honor of the Scholarship Program co-founder, Robert C. Bohlmann, CEM. In 2026, this scholarship will again be awarded to the undergraduate student who has the highest score under the scholarship rating system.

To assist applicants, the Scholarship Commission has created checklists for each application type. This tool helps student applicants track the materials needed to complete a successful application. Download the checklist for your application type below to ensure that all required materials are submitted via email to dawn@iaem.com by 5:00 p.m. EDT on May 31, 2026. All files submitted must be in .pdf format.

Additional Benefits for Scholarship Recipients

In addition to being awarded a scholarship, IAEM Scholarship recipients receive:

  • A full registration for the IAEM Annual Conference, Nov. 6-12, 2026, in Long Beach, California (not including transportation and lodging).
  • One essay for each recipient will be selected and published in the IAEM Bulletin.
