IAEM scholarships are awarded through a competitive process to students worldwide who are pursuing an associate or diploma, baccalaureate, or graduate degree in emergency management or a closely related field. The 2026 scholarship application period for full-time undergraduate and full- or part-time graduate students begins on March 31, 2026. All application materials must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. EDT, May 31, 2026.
The APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS should be downloaded and followed closely. A Checklist is available below to help you gather materials.
In 2017, a special undergraduate scholarship was named in honor of the Scholarship Program co-founder, Robert C. Bohlmann, CEM. In 2026, this scholarship will again be awarded to the undergraduate student who has the highest score under the scholarship rating system.
To assist applicants, the Scholarship Commission has created checklists for each application type. This tool helps student applicants track the materials needed to complete a successful application. Download the checklist for your application type below to ensure that all required materials are submitted via email to dawn@iaem.com by 5:00 p.m. EDT on May 31, 2026. All files submitted must be in .pdf format.
NOTE: The essay questions for each application type are included in the checklist.
