IAEM works alongside a wide variety of state, national and international organizations to help achieve mutual goals.

IAEM executes Memorandums of Partnership with national, non-profit organizations comprised of disaster preparedness and emergency management practitioners and related fields. It is intended that these organizations represent membership organizations. (IAEM also works closely with many private sector, “for-profit” entities to support the mutual purpose of protecting life and property from disaster, but does not enter into Memorandums of Partnership with these companies.)
