Join Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) School Safety on Thursday, October 16, at 3:00 p.m. EDT for a virtual training on enhancing behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) practices in kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools. This session will explore how K-12 leaders can build and strengthen BTAM processes that promote early intervention and prevent school violence, especially when embedded within a comprehensive multi-tiered system of supports. A panel of experts will share strategies for forming an effective BTAM team, defining roles, and fostering collaboration among school staff, mental health professionals, and law enforcement partners.

The 2025 CAP Implementation Workshop and Training, hosted by the National Fire Corps of Italy and Alert-Hub.Org CIC with co-sponsors IAEM and OASIS Open, will take place at the National Fire Corps Academy (ISA) in Rome, Italy. This international forum will bring together emergency managers, technical experts, NGOs, media, and commercial partners to share experiences, address challenges, and highlight innovations in the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP)—the global standard for all-hazard, all-media alerting. Presentations will showcase new applications of CAP, from AI-enabled crisis management to inclusive alerting strategies, with case studies from around the world. Participation is free, and both in-person and webinar options are available with registration.
