The Emergency Management Higher Education Colloquium is a virtual gathering for faculty, staff, administrators, and practitioners engaged in emergency management and homeland security higher education. The colloquium focuses on curriculum, teaching practice, research, and program leadership that support the preparation of future emergency management professionals. This year’s theme, “Strong Foundations, Bold Adaptations,” highlights the importance of building on established strengths in emergency management and homeland security education while responding to change, uncertainty, and emerging demands in the profession. The colloquium highlights how academic programs can update their curricula, refine instructional practices, and incorporate practitioner-informed lessons to ensure students are prepared for an increasingly complex professional environment. Day one will focus on foundations and future directions. Day two will focus on adaptation and innovation.
