  • Bill Neadles, CEM, Named as President of the IAEM-Canada Ontario Region (28 Aug 2019) Bill Neadles, CEM, was named today as the new President of the IAEM-Canada Ontario Region. He was the sole candidate for the post during the nominations period, which was called due to the resignation of the previous regional president. The IAEM-Canada Board has reviewed his credentials and acclaimed him as the new President of Ontario Region. Bill is a well-known and respected emergency management professional with more than 40 years of experience in public safety, security and emergency management. He began his career with the Toronto Police Service. During his tenure with the service he moved through various ranks to the role as Superintendent of the Emergency Management & Public Order Unit. His role as Unit Commander included oversight of the service's emergency management program, critical infrastructure, search management, and special/major events planning. He commanded the Toronto Police Mounted Unit and a number a number of specialized teams including the Heavy Urban Search and Rescue Team (HUSAR), Public Order Unit (POU) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNE). Bill has represented the Toronto Police Service on numerous municipal, provincial and federal committees, was the co-chair of the Toronto Emergency Management Symposium and the project sponsor for the Toronto Association of Police and Private Security (TAPPS) program. Bill is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) through the International Association of Emergency Managers. Congratulations to Bill for his new role as President of the IAEM-Canada Ontario Region. 
  • New IAEM-Canada Ontario Region Held Election of Officers (18 Feb 2019) A total of 46 IAEM-Canada Individual, Affiliate, and Lifetime members, residing in Ontario province, voted in the 2019 IAEM-Canada Ontario Region officers’ election. The winning candidates are: Sonia Singh, President; Katherine Chapman, Vice President; Alison Kingelin, Secretary; and Karen Charles, CEM, Treasurer. They are the first officers of the new Ontario Region.
