IAEM-USA Open House

IAEM-USA Committee and Caucus Open House

There are 10 committees and 22 caucuses. Committees have an ongoing, operational function and deal with a specified area for IAEM-USA (i.e., Membership, Bylaws, DEI, Editorial, Government Affairs, Training & Education, and more). Caucuses are with a special focus or function within the practice of emergency management and provide advice to the organization (i.e., Children and Disasters, Healthcare, Universities and Colleges, K-12 Education, Emerging Professionals, and more.)

How to Join an IAEM-USA Group

  • Visit the group's page from the links above.
  • Email the group's staff liaison expressing interest. The staff liaison is listed in the top section of a group's page just below member officers.
  • The staff liaison will work with the group leadership to add you to the roster and welcome you to the group.

Open House Recordings 

IAEM-USA hosted three Open Houses for members to learn more about its 32 Committees and Caucuses. 

  • Monday, August 7, 12:00-12:45 p.m. EDT
    • Featuring the Municipal Caucus, Mental Health and Wellness Caucus, Bylaws Committee, Certification Commission, and the Universities and Colleges Caucus.  

     

 

  • Tuesday, August 8, 1:00-1:45 p.m. EDT
    • Featuring the Tribal Affairs Caucus, Children and Disaster Caucus, Access & Whole Community Inclusion Caucus, Conference Committee, and Faith-Based Organizations Caucus.

     


  • Wednesday, August 9, 2:00-2:45 p.m. EDT
    • Featuring the State EM Association Caucus, K-12 Education Caucus, Healthcare Caucus, Public Private Partnerships (P3) Caucus, and Advocacy and Awareness Caucus.
