September 2-5, 2025 – IAEM-USA Region 4 connected with more than 350 attendees at the Kentucky Emergency Services Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. The team highlighted the benefits of IAEM membership, certification, and the Annual Conference in November.

August 26, 2025 – IAEM-USA participated in a FEMA Review Council Listening Session. IAEM was represented by Mary Jo Flynn-Nevins, CEM, chief of emergency services for Sacramento County and chair of IAEM-USA’s Government Affairs Committee, and Zach Stanford, chair of the Community and Member Engagement Committee. Mary Jo delivered remarks emphasizing FEMA’s critical role in national emergency management and the urgent need to both preserve FEMA’s core capabilities and strengthen its effectiveness.
August 25-28, 2025 – IAEM exhibited at the 2025 National Homeland Security Conference in Washington, DC. July 2025 – The IAEM-USA Region 7 Pre-Conference Pickleball Bash at Chicken-N-Pickle. Emergency managers from across the region gathered for an energizing pre-conference event full of friendly competition, laughter, and camaraderie. From first-time players to seasoned pros, everyone enjoyed a spirited evening of pickleball, networking, and fun at Chicken-N-Pickle.

July 2025 – The IAEM-USA Region 7 Conference was a well-attended event that featured many expert-lead sessions and provided many opportunities for networking and bettering the emergency management profession.
June 25, 2025 – IAEM members gathered on Capitol Hill for IAEM's first Hill Day. Our members met with 54 congressional offices, including members from key committees such as Homeland Security, Appropriations, and Transportation and Infrastructure, to champion the mission of emergency management.
