June 25, 2025 – IAEM members gathered on Capitol Hill for IAEM's first Hill Day. Our members met with 54 congressional offices, including members from key committees such as Homeland Security, Appropriations, and Transportation and Infrastructure, to champion the mission of emergency management.

March 24, 2025 – IAEM Director of Government Affairs Thad Huguley moderated a “Partners Panel” at the mid-year NEMA conference with representatives from NACO, NGA, NCSL, and the Conference of Mayors joining him on stage. The panel discussed how each organization is navigating the coming changes, how they set priorities, and how to improve coordination to stay on top of all the disruption taking place in Washington.
