Participants have an opportunity to convey to a wide audience the significance of their research project, practice, or general findings to practitioners and scholars in the emergency management community.

Poster Showcase Participant Benefits & Responsibilities

• Learn all the requirements and how to submit a proposal in the Poster Showcase Guidance.
• Participants who are chosen to display their posters will receive certificates of participation that document credit towards the IAEM Certification Program under Professional Contribution Category F, Speaking.
• Opportunity to consult with a coach who can provide feedback on poster development, oral presentation skills, review of the final poster pdf submission or answer questions in relation to the evaluating guidelines.
• Your name listed as a speaker in the conference program and IAEM2Go mobile app.
• Excellent networking opportunities to interact with others interested in your topic in the emergency management profession.
• Peer recognition at the premier event for the emergency management profession.
• Opportunity to earn recognition from IAEM if you meet the qualifications of a gold, silver or bronze standard. (Competitive Division participants only)
• A prime highly desirable location to display your poster.
• All participants must submit the final PDF image of the poster and the 4-minute recorded presentation by September 9, 2021.
• If entering the Competitive Division, you must attend the virtual Poster Showcase evaluation session during your assigned 15-minute timeslot between Monday - Wednesday, September 20 – 22, 2021.
• All participants must set up their Poster in the designated area by Monday, October 18, 2021 at 8:00 AM ET
• All participants are required to attend the Poster Showcase presentation session on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 during the morning program break.
• All Posters must be removed by Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM ET.
• Register for the conference.
