On May 9, the U.S. Council of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM-USA) honored the 2025 40 under 40 awardees. This program was developed by the IAEM-USA Awards & Recognition Committee to recognize professionals who are under 40 years old for their outstanding leadership and notable contributions to the emergency management profession. The worthy recipients were announced during Friday’s IAEM Pugged In Virtual Conference.

IAEM members were invited to nominate exceptional members for giving their all to their communities, even while balancing family, friends, and life. A special selection task force of the IAEM-USA Awards and Recognition Committee assessed candidates based on criteria such as innovation, impact, leadership qualities, and community involvement. Out of more than 113 nominations, IAEM congratulates the following 40 who were selected as this year’s recipients.
