See the Updated Resource List for a list of resources that can be used to make up an exam. The new version of the AEM/CEM Exam which launched on Nov. 13, 2022, has 120 multiple-choice questions. One hundred of these questions will be scored and candidates must receive a score of at least 70 to pass. Candidates will also be allowed 2.5 hours for the exam.
When you are ready to schedule your individual exam please complete the exam request form giving your proctors complete contact information, date of the exam, and 14 business day’s notice.

The preparatory course includes: Review of CEM program requirements (experience, education, professional contributions and more); explanation of the AEM program requirements; application procedures; tips for successful program completion; an overview of the AEM/CEM exam; the standards upon which the exam is based; sample exam questions; and a Q&A period. Please come prepare to ask specific questions related to the program and/or to your personal credentials submission.
Offered in partnership with MindEdge Learning, this prep course allows candidates to prepare for the IAEM Certification process through a self-study at your own pace. The course offers curated learning, review materials, and sample test questions designed to support students in preparing for the AEM or CEM certification.
The current prep course offered by MindEdge Learning is intended for candidates who plan to take the AEM/CEM exam prior to November 13. An updated online prep course for candidates planning to take the new version of the exam (after November 13), will be available soon.
