Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I start in the Legacy Portal and then transition to the New Portal?

Applicants will need to start a new application in the New Portal and re-upload their documentation. Partially completed applications cannot be transferred to the New Portal.

  • Will my login from IAEM.org work in the New Portal?

Applicants will not log in directly to the New Portal. They will select an authentication method to verify their identity. The IAEM website is an option for authentication.

  • What file formats and sizes are accepted in the New Portal?

PDF is required. When multiple documents are required, applicants must combine items into one PDF.

  • How do I know my submission is complete?

The New Portal shows a Checkpoint section once all requirements are submitted. Once the Checkpoint is completed, the application is submitted for review, and a review section will appear in the MY APPLICATION SECTIONS tab.
