IAEM-USA Region 2 is excited to announce a regional conference that will analyze Wicked Problems emergency managers face every day scheduled for July 23-25, 2025 at Paul Smith's College in Paul Smiths, New York.  Join your colleagues and peers in upstate NY to meet, learn, and network in person!

-Cascading Effects of Aging Infrastructure
-Doing More With Less (Federal Funding)
-Migrant Sheltering and Other Unconventional EM Situations

Conference Registration Fee - Payment is due at the time of registration. Early bird registration deadline is Wednesday, April 30, 2025 for registrations received by IAEM headquarters. Registration fees increase as of Thursday, May 1, 2025, and will be subject to a late registration fee. Lunch is included for both days.

Online registration is available, as well as onsite registration. Complete an online registration form and obtain a registration number to lock in your registration rate. Otherwise, your registration fee will be based on the date you register online with IAEM Headquarters.

Cancellation Policy - Written cancellations received prior to July 1, 2025 will receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received as of July 1, 2025, must provide a written explanation sent to EMConferenceCommittee@gmail.com and sharon@iaem.com and are subject to committee review.


Conference Location

CEM / AEM Examination Participation.  As a benefit to conference participants the IAEM Certification Exam will be offered, but conference attendance is not necessary.  The IAEM Certification Exam will be offered on July 23, 2024 from 9:00 am - 11:30 am.   Those who pay the certification application in full by June 30, 2025 and signed up to take the exam will be eligible. Candidates will have one year from the date of the exam to submit their credential application for review. Visit https://www.iaem.org/Certification/Application-Process to access the application and submit payment.  The certification application fee is an additional fee as a pre-event add-on during conference registration. The deadline to sign up for and pay for the certification application fee is June 30, 2025 in addition to the conference registration fee.   Exam location: Freer Hall Room 110 – Paul Smith's College.

CEM / AEM Examination Participation - candidates will be taking the updated exam. Please make sure you are studying the new resource list at https://www.iaem.org/Certification/Resource-Center.   An additional fee is required to sit for the exam. Registration deadline: Monday, June 30, 2025. Unfortunately, late registrations cannot be accommodated. You must be enrolled in the certification program and have paid the application fee in full separately ($430 for IAEM members; $640 for non-members). Only those who have paid the application fee in full are eligible to register and sit for the exam.
