IAEM-USA Region 2 is excited to announce a regional conference “Getting Back to Abnormal” scheduled for June 29-30, 2023, at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York. The conference will provide keynote and plenary sessions, and presentations in the following topic areas: Emergency Management in the Academic Space; Cybersecurity and Technology in Emergency Management; and the Evolution of the Emergency Manager. Networking events will also be scheduled.

The IAEM Certification Exam will be offered on June 28, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:30 pm as a pre-event add-on during registration. The deadline to sign up for the certification exam on June 12, 2023. The certification application fee needs to be paid prior to signing up for the exam.

Exam location: Student Accessibility Support Center (SASC) Testing Center (Rm 112) on Level 1 of the Stony Brook Union building. It is walking distance from the Charles B. Wang Conference Center site.

Registration Fee - Payment is due at the time of registration. Early bird registration deadline is Sunday, April 30, 2023 for registrations received by IAEM headquarters. Registration fees increase as of Monday, May 1, 2023 and will be subject to a late registration fee. Lunch is included for both days.

Online registration is available as well as onsite registration. In order to lock in your registration rate, you must complete an online registration form and obtain a registration number. Otherwise, your registration fee will be based on the date you register online with IAEM Headquarters.

Cancellation Policy - Written cancellations received prior to June 1, 2023 will receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received as of June 1, 2023 must provide a written explanation sent to EMConferenceCommittee@gmail.com and sharon@iaem.com and is subject to committee review.
