Editorial Sub-Work Group

Chair: Daryl Lee Spiewak, CEM, TEM, daryls@hot.rr.com

Editorial Sub-Work Group Mission

The IAEM-Global Editorial Sub-Work Group assists the IAEM Bulletin Editor in identifying articles and special focus issues. At the end of 2014, the IAEM Bulletin completed its 31st year of publication as the official IAEM monthly newsletter. Members of the work group recruit subject matter experts to author articles and function as liaisons to the Board of Directors on communications issues. The work group created and maintains the online searchable collection of EM Practitioner Articles.

Current Editorial Sub-Work Group Activities

  • Special Focus Issue Topics. The Editorial Work Group's recommendations to the Global Board for the 2015 special focus topics were approved and are posted on the IAEM Bulletin home page.
  • The IAEM Bulletin. In 2014, the IAEM Bulletin became a monthly online publication available to members only in the IAEM Bulletin Archives, which go back to August 1999. Longer feature articles are now accepted, up to 1,500 words. The Author's Guidelines are available here.
  • EM Practitioner Articles Collection. The Editorial Work Group created and maintains the EM Practitioner Articles online searchable collection.

Website Sub-Work Group Mission

The Website Sub-Work Group supervises the content of the IAEM-Global website and IAEM's Internet presence, including e-mail communications and website content and format. It makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for website enhancement, including prioritization of new features within the annual budget established by the Board. The work group establishes the use of web-based activities, such as voting, membership database use, and marketing.
