The IAEM-USA Region 7 Conference brings together emergency management professionals from Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska for two days of training, collaboration, and networking. Attendees include local, county, state, tribal, nonprofit, private sector, and federal partners.

The 2026 conference theme, Anchored in the Heartland: Strengthening Regional Resilience Across the Plains, reflects the importance of strong regional partnerships, shared learning, and coordinated planning across the Midwest. Sessions will focus on emerging threats, operational coordination, leadership, and practical tools that strengthen whole-community resilience. The event will include general sessions, breakout trainings, and networking opportunities for both new and experienced professionals.

Join IAEM-USA Region 7 for our 5th annual conference scheduled for July 29-30, 2026, at the University of Nebraska - Omaha, 6708 Pine Street, Omaha, NE 68106 in Mammel Hall, Room 112/113. Specific building/room assignments will be provided prior to the conference.

Parking will be available in designated University of Nebraska at Omaha campus lots near the conference venue. Additional parking instructions, maps, and any permit requirements will be provided to registrants prior to the event.

Registration fees include:

• July 29th – Pre-conference networking event, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
• July 30th – all day conference

This conference will provide opportunities to discuss regional and national resilience topics, inclusive of volunteer, seasoned, and aspiring emergency management professionals.

Payment is due at the time of registration. Online registration deadline is Wednesday, July 15, 2026. However, last minute online registration is available up until the day of the event. In order to lock in your registration, you must complete an online registration form, submit payment and obtain a registration number. A registration confirmation will be sent by email. 

Cancellation Policy - All cancellations must be in writing. Cancellations received by Wednesday, July 15, 2026 will receive a full refund. No refunds as of Thursday, July 16, 2026.
