Please join us for a day of educational presentations, networking, and socializing with emergency managers and allied professionals from around the region at our upcoming Region 3 Symposium!

Date/Time: Friday, September 29 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. At 7:00 am registration, coffee/donuts, networking will be available.

Location: George Mason University's Arlington Campus, Van Metre Hall (3351 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22201) in Rooms 111 and 113. The closest Metro stop is Virginia Square-GMU on the Orange and Silver lines. The Metro stop is on Monroe Street and Fairfax Drive, about a five-minute walk southwest of Van Metre Hall. Parking is located in the Van Metre Hall Parking Garage. Due to the construction adjacent to Van Metre Hall, the Van Metre garage can only be accessed by turning onto Founders Way from Kirkwood Road (not from Washington Boulevard). If you have requested all-day parking, please take a ticket upon entering the garage. You will receive a validation ticket which will allow you to exit the garage once.

Free Post-symposium Social Functions: Arlington County has kindly agreed to host a tour of its emergency communications center and watch desk for Symposium attendees. The tour will commence at 5:00 pm at 1425 North Courthouse Road, Suite #7. Metered parking is available in Courthouse Plaza (directly across the street). The closest Metro stop is Court House on the Orange and Silver lines.

A networking happy hour will follow the tour from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Fire Works Pizza (2350 Clarendon Boulevard). This will be a “no-host” bar, but Region 3 will provide pizza and other light snacks.

Virtual Attendance: As with last year the symposium will also be available via webinar for those who are unable to attend in person! Information on accessing the webinar virtually is included in the registration confirmation that is sent to the email address listed in your registration.
