The IAEM Annual Conference scheduled for November 14-20, 2025 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky will provide a forum for current trends and topics, information about the latest tools and technology in emergency management and homeland security, and advance IAEM committee work.
Special Events Tickets - Sunday Night Welcome Party and the Wednesday Night Presidential Banquet tickets are included for: IAEM member full, non-member full, speaker, and student registrations.
Early Bird Registration
The early bird registration deadline is Friday, October 10, 2025 for registrations received by IAEM headquarters. Registration fees increase as of Saturday, October 11, 2025 and will be subject to a late registration fee. In order to lock in your registration rate, you must complete an online registration form and obtain a registration number. Otherwise, your registration fee will be based on the date you register online with IAEM Headquarters.
Cancellation Policy
You may submit a cancel notice in writing to Sharon@iaem.com by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on October 30, 2025 to receive a refund minus a $75 cancellation processing fee. We regret we cannot refund any fees as of October 31, 2025 because we must submit complete commitments for facilities, materials, and meals. If we do not hear from you by October 30, 2025 we will assume that you will participate based on your registration and will incur costs on your behalf. A cancellation confirmation will be sent acknowledging the cancellation. Therefore, if you do not cancel, your registration fees are due even if you do not attend.

Certification Examination: the certification exam will be offered at two separate times on Sunday, November 16, 2025, 8:30-11:00 am and 12:00-2:30 pm. Please arrive 30 minutes prior for check-in / photo ID check. Please make sure you are studying the current resource list at https://www.iaem.org/get-certified/Resources. Registration deadline to sign up to take the exam is Friday, October 31, 2025. Unfortunately, late registrations cannot be accommodated. Those who pay the certification application in full separately ($430 USD for IAEM members; $640 USDfor non-members) AND signed up to take the exam by October 31, 2025 will be eligible to sit for the exam. Candidates will have one year from the date of the exam to submit their credential application for review. Visit https://www.iaem.org/get-certified/How-to-Certify/Getting-Started to access the application and to submit payment for the certification application fee. The certification application fee is a separate fee from the conference registration fee.

The registration deadline to sign up for the certification preparatory course is Friday, October 17, 2025. The cost is $535 USD and will include a boxed lunch. Certification preparatory course participants will not be eligible to take the certification exam onsite at the conference.

Alexander Falcone (LEADER)
<p>Alexander Falcone serves as the Partnerships and Program Supervisor for the U.S. Small Business Administration where he oversees the agencies efforts relating to partnership, interagency affairs, community engagement, and mitigation. With extensive experience in government and industry, Alexander has significant experience working with both the public and private sectors. Prior to coming to SBA, Alex served in a leadership role within the Response and Recovery Division for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) working across government and the private sector to develop partnerships with the DC-based business community, including non-profit organizations. He has also served as the Director of Emergency Management for the City of Coral Springs Florida. </p>

Billy Brown, Jr. (LEADER)
<p>Billy Bob Brown, Jr., serves as the Executive Assistant Director (EAD) for Emergency Communications within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In this capacity, EAD Brown drives cross-divisional synergy as identified in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Act of 2018. Mr. Brown most recently served as the Associate Director, Priority Telecom Services Sub- Division as well as the Program Manager for both the DHS Level 2 Program Next Generation Networks Priority Services Program and the Level 3 Program Priority Telecommunications Services Program. In this role, he was responsible for providing priority telecommunications services over commercial networks to enable national security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) personnel with the ability to communicate during congestion scenarios across the nation. </p><p> </p><p>Mr. Brown graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree and holds a Master of Business Administration from Webster University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). <br /> </p>

Manuel Centeno (LEADER)
<p>Manny Centeno is the Director of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System or IPAWS. Since joining IPAWS as a Program Manager in June of 2010, Manny’s leadership and expertise have been integral to propelling the program to new heights. Chief among his accomplishments is his oversight of the National Public Warning System (NPWS) and the Primary Entry Point (PEP) system which helps ensure emergency communications can reach more than 90% of the public under all conditions. His many successes also include leading the execution of the first Nationwide Emergency Alert System Test in 2011, directing the development of IPAWS’ satellite communications network, spearheading innovative solutions to protect critical systems from Electromagnetic Pulse, strengthening partnerships between IPAWS and the mass media industry, and leading the establishment of the IPAWS Laboratory and Technical Support Service Facility.</p>
