Metropolitan College of New York has a substantial IAEM Student Chapter, now in its ninth year. There are nearly 100 members and growing. Leadership is provided by the elected Student Officers, which includes Ernesto González-Valdivia, President; Clarita Liepolt, MA, MPA , First Vice President; Amir Medina, Second Vice President; and Jimmy Dumancela, Secretary.
The Faculty Advisor is Professor Matthew Khaled; the Undergraduate Emergency Management and Business Continuity Program Director is Chuck Frank; and the Graduate Emergency and Disaster Management Program Director is Ali Gheith.
